Season standings use a field-size points system: in an event with N competitors, first place earns N points, second earns N − 1, and so on. Bigger fields are worth more, so beating twenty competitors counts for more than beating five.
Standings are computed per grade and split between piping, drumming, and pipe bands. Ties are broken by number of first-place finishes.
Results are collected from official published results of piping and drumming associations, starting with the PPBSO (Ontario) — with more organizations coming.
